Can you supply mango for the US or Japan market?

Accepted Answer

Destination treatment is coordinated when your market requires it. The USA typically needs irradiation at a USDA-APHIS approved facility; Japan typically needs Vapor Heat Treatment (VHT). We arrange this through a partner facility. We do not own or operate irradiation or VHT plants ourselves. Availability, timing and documentation are confirmed on enquiry for your destination. Japan also restricts mango imports to approved Indian states; Andhra Pradesh is among them, which supports Banganapalli programmes into that market when treatment and paperwork are in place.

What is the shelf life during sea freight?

Banganapalli is commonly chosen for bulk sea freight because of its firm flesh and transport tolerance when packed and held correctly. Industry practice for export lots is typically around 10–13°C in reefer transit. Sea freight from Indian ports to Gulf destinations such as Dubai often takes about 7–10 days in a reefer container, though exact voyage time depends on the sailing. Arrival condition and remaining shelf life still depend on harvest maturity, packing, reefer discipline and handling after discharge.
